Did someone say Holiday Treats<\/strong>? <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Last week, we discussed planning to bake for the holidays<\/a> <\/strong>and what you needed to do to prepare ahead of time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now that the weather has changed, some neighbors have flipped the switch on their Christmas lights and put out their holiday decorations. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We woke up to see our skylight this morning covered in snow, and like kids, we both rushed to the front window to see what the night had brought for us. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sadly, there was a slight dusting, but the snow is coming.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For some, it is still very early, and for others like us, we like to jump into the festive season to enjoy it with friends and family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The festive spirit has ignited as we spread some holiday cheer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So we decided to make a few easy Christmas recipes in the upcoming weeks starting in December, and I will post them every Sunday as a Holiday Treat Special. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every Sunday, I post a recipe I create in our kitchen on the Canadian Budget Binder blog. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

It’s the only time we talk food on the blog for a week, so it’s a fun time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What holiday dessert recipes are we making, you ask? I know I’ve kept you in suspense. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well, I can promise you it’s easy and frugal, and anyone can make them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Christmas Balls recipes are easy enough for the kids to help roll the balls for you so they can participate in traditional family Christmas baking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are always searching for ideas for Christmas baking, but Mrs. CBB has her\u00a0nanny’s\u00a0famous Christmas recipes tucked away, which she makes every year. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

OK,\u00a0 I admit it: I love sweets in moderation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This is the plan below, but as Mrs.CBB and I enjoy messing about in the kitchen (get your mind out of the gutter, only those with IKEA kitchens get it on…(oddly enough, we were there yesterday to pick out our kitchen…oh ya!)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
