just Costco, as almost all grocery stores have line-ups at some point or even all day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When winter sets in, standing outside will be cold, so you must weigh your grocery list and shopping agenda options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yesterday was one of those days when it was so cold, and a line-up was around the Costco building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We started to walk down, noticed it got longer and longer, and decided it was best to turn around and go to Zehrs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s not uncommon for us to walk away from a long lineup because we stock up on pantry essentials and never wait until they are empty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The idea is to restock before your current stock is empty, and then you&#8217;re put in a predicament of having nothing or limited supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let&#8217;s consider the <a Points<\/a>.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Food Basics because it&#8217;s one of our favourite grocery stores that have reasonable prices for our grocery stores.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>I think the key for everyone is to find what grocery stores offer the best deals based on <a access to transportation to carry groceries home, especially in the winter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We often try to<strong> stockpile one or two items when they are on sale,<\/strong> and we know the product is priced right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, if the tomato paste is on 2 for $1&nbsp; instead of $0.89 each, we&#8217;ll buy eight cans which will do us for months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 however, we have purchased ground beef, whole chicken, chicken wings, and pork belly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I agree that Costco meats are excellent, but do you purchase them for quality, quantity, or price?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s up to you and whether you can afford it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, we bought a massive pack of <strong>Pork Belly for $25,<\/strong> which seems expensive when it&#8217;s not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A small pack of pork belly at the grocery store would cost us nearly $10 or more, depending on what grocery store we go to.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have so many portioned bags of pork belly (bacon) that will do us many meals, and we know the grocery store won&#8217;t&#8217; beat that price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-our-costco-grocery-master-list\">Our Costco Grocery Master List <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>*Note- The prices below reflect the period in which I wrote this blog post. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>10% cream and 35% whipping cream <\/strong>are $1.95 and $4.99 vs. grocery store $3.29 cream and $5.99 for whipping cream, sometimes more<strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Avocados: <\/strong>An $8.99 bag with jumbo avocadoes is an excellent price<strong>.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>The cheapest bananas <\/strong>we&#8217;ve found is $1.57 a bunch.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Power Slice Bread&nbsp;<\/strong>$8.99 for two packs or buy one pack at the grocery store for $8.99<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Mayonaise is $5.99 Hellman&#8217;s Mayo, <\/strong>or we can buy extra eggs at Costco to make homemade Mayo if it is not on sale.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Nuts at Costco <\/strong>are some of the best prices for Brazil nuts, almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower Seeds, pine Nuts, etc. I&#8217;ve bought <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.ca\/gp\/product\/B00NAUANY0\/ref=as_li_tl?ie=UTF8&amp;camp=15121&amp;creative=330641&amp;creativeASIN=B00NAUANY0&amp;linkCode=as2&amp;tag=canabudgbind-20&amp;linkId=dd92cd8b47606801bdc89093a1845428\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><strong>organic sunflower seeds from Amazon<\/strong><\/a> for a great price, but you must watch for flash sales.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Oils &#8211; <\/strong>We buy double packs of extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, and avocado oil on sale. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Cheeses &#8211; <\/strong>Brie, Ricotta, Bocconcini, Parmigiano Regianno, Mozzarella, Cream Cheese, <strong>2-pack <\/strong>goat cheese, halloumi cheese <strong>2-pack.&nbsp; <\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Deli Meats <\/strong>$11.99<strong> <\/strong>German Salami 3 pack, genoa salami and Proscuitto.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Kirkland Almond Flour,<\/strong> $16.99, is the best price, as are Chia seeds and Coconut Flour. For example, Kirkland Almond Flour on Amazon costs <strong>$27.99<\/strong>, or a double bag costs $49.99 for Prime Members. Online Costco grocery for Kirkland Almond Flour is $18.99, or a double pack for $41.99 (excellent math there). So you do pay more shopping online for Costco items; however, if it&#8217;s still the best price, it&#8217;s worth it. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Coffee<\/strong> is a must; when it goes on sale, I stock up $10.99, a reasonable sale price for Nescafe.
